Show a history of where my reputation score came from
My rep bounces around a lot. It would be nice to see where I am getting/losing the points.
I am especially interested in the down votes since I will gladly change/improve/remove an answer the community thinks is incorrect.
I also agree with the suggestion to have people lose a point when they mark an answer down. I have gotten more down votes here in a week than on my year old SO account.

We’re going to add this to your profile page in the coming weeks.

Allowing deleting comments
Right now comments are there forever. It would be good to allow the deletion of comments so if you make a mistake in your comment or realize that it isn't relevant, you can remove your comment. The league of justice sites have this, but I think there is a limit as to how long after you can.

At least for 10 votes up, 100 views, Filling out profile, 10 edits to questions and 10 comments.
This will encourage users to use the site to the point that the get hooked!

Remind people to accept an answer and vote
I've answered a couple of questions where I've spent significant time researching and writing an answer. The person asking the question has either replied and disappeared, or just ignored the answer, leaving me feel a bit despondent.
I know points aren't everything, but it's annoying not to be thanked, and points provide a form of motivation to answer more questions.
I think people should be reminded when commenting on an answer to vote on it, and when returning to a question they asked without an answer.

Great suggestion. We’ll add this to the list.

Please define how questions are sorted
I am very confused on how the questions are sorted. 'What are the best FREE and OPENSOURCE for PHP editing in Windows ?' is at the top but has not had a new answer in two days. 'What's the best code editor for OS X?' had a new answer 4 hours ago but is on the second page.
Questions that have a best answer don't indicate when the last answer was posted. The question could have received a new answer after the best answer was selected there is no way to tell unless I keep track of how many answers… more

Allow more rows per page of questions
Default is 10 questions when you're looking at a page. Would like the option of seeing 30 or 50 questions per page to cut down on the pagination and having to click-click-click page after page.

Add an FAQ to Doctype.com
A FAQ-like page to help make doctype.com better in terms of usage and getting the users to know more about how to use doctype.com properly and in a way which it is built for.
Too many misuses e.g. using answers instead of commenting, accepting own answer instead of giving credits to the actual answer(er) etc etc.
The content of this page will be something like this: http://doctype.com/l9F and perhaps can be updated/maintained by certain chosen users.

Make feeds out of everything
A specific users questions and answers, keyword filtered feeds, and comments (all comments by a user/you or question).
I wan't to spread the word, and everything social should be possible to aggregate.

Thanks for your feedback! We don’t have this planned just yet, but we’re discussing it now, it may be possible once we launch OpenID in Dcotype.

Avoid duplicate questions - suggest similar questions when they are created
To avoid duplicate questions you should add and autocomplete that suggests/queries similar to the one they are currently creating.
It should be shown as a list below the "Your question" field and that maybe update if any Tags are specified.

Yep, great idea. I’ve always liked how this works on Stack Overflow and Get Satisfaction.

Favourite Question
Like SO, you also need Favourite Question option with each question, so we can add question in our favourite list.

Great idea. We’d planned to call this “bookmarking” a question, but it’s the same feature. This should be added sometime in the coming weeks.

Send alerts on Twitter when my question is updated
I'd like to get notified on Twitter when my question (or a question I have answered) is updated. This could be via a reply or a direct message.

Create an RSS feed for each tag
That way we could subscribe to comments and answers on our question

make it easier to edit my profile picture. I still can't figure it out! :(
I have been trying to change my profile photo (avatar?) since I first created my Doctype account a few weeks ago.
Please make it easier to do so. Or make it so I, personally, can at all. :)

Improve pagination
Currently the pagination has a very narrow range -- first ... current -1 current current + 1 ... last -- with very few exceptions in the beginning and the end of the pagination. It's almost standard like to have 10 pages shown.
There are no previous, next, skip ten (back and forth) links.

Have a standard way of specifying the doctype of the question.
How does one specify in a tag that they are working with a particular doctype?
I tried typing in something like html-4.01-strict into the tags region, but my question was rejected probably based on the periods in the tag.
Thank you,

Allow editing comments
I would like the ability to edit my comment as SO allows you to do.

Make the textarea for an answer larger
Right now it extremely small and once a bit of code is added, it quickly becomes too small. Even adding a resizable option would be good, such as on the SO sites.

show user name under rep score or avatar
please put the username on the left side of the page under the avatar, because right now it's really hard to find (in small type under the question/answer).
this would help it function more like a forum where the left part of the post contains all the poster's info and to the right, their content.
